Kevin Chickanis attended film school at Florida State University before following his career to Miami where he worked in commercial production. But Kevin yearned for a change of scene and so headed for South Africa where he lived for several years. From there, it was off to Tinseltown where he settled down to a hectic film making schedule on such big budget films as Aliens 3 and Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ. Now well established, Kevin enjoys working on documentary projects when time allows, and enjoyed working with Dr. Korsch during the making of Portrait of a Pioneer. His heartfelt interest in her life and accomplishments made his contribution integral to the production. Kevin is now working on a documentary about the native peoples of Nova Scotia.
